Housekeeping Assistant at Richland PlaceThis position is responsible for the cleanliness of the Residents rooms, Common areas, and hallways.RESPONSIBLE TO:Housekeeping SupervisorQUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to read and understand Standard English.Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, families, fellow employees and visitors.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Able to be on feet 7-8 hours a dayAble to stoop, kneel, bend, and climb, depending on jobAble to lift 20 to 25 pounds frequentlyAble to lift 50 to 75 pounds occasionallyAble to move heavy (75 to 100 pound) furniture occasionallyAble to see, hear and communicate adequately to complete job duties and responsibilityAble to work with standard cleaning chemicalsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Are determined by the center and may include, but are not limited to the following:Clean Resident bathrooms including sinks, toilets, tubs and showersEmpty garbage cans in Resident rooms, bathrooms, activity areas and other areas throughout the centerClean Resident rooms, including mopping and/or buffing floors, dusting furniture both on top and underneathClean hallways, sweeping up debris, mopping, stripping and buffing following company and center policies and proceduresClean walls, furniture and equipment, as needed, to provide a clean pleasant environment for Residents, staff and visitorsWork safely, following proper procedures when using chemical agentsFollow established cleaning schedulesOther duties which may be assigned from time to timeNational HealthCare Corporation is recognized nationwide as an innovator in the delivery of quality care.
