Job Description

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Forensic Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $110,000 per year.

• Analyze financial data to detect and investigate potential fraud, embezzlement, and other financial crimes.
• Compile detailed reports of findings, including evidence of financial discrepancies and irregularities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements to prevent future financial misconduct.
• Provide expert testimony in court cases, explaining complex financial information in an understandable manner.
• Utilize various software tools to analyze large datasets and identify patterns indicative of fraudulent activity.
• Identify and assess financial risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Ensure that financial practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other business related field.
• 3-5 years of public accounting experience at a CPA firm.
• Proficiency in accounting software and forensic tools.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meticulously document findings and prepare detailed reports.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple investigations and meet deadlines.
